Great sweatshirt! Couldn't take it off the first few days I owned it. The only thing I find less than perfect is that the hood is too small. It is tight on my head. Granted, I do have a big head, but all my other hooded items don't seem to have that problem. If the hood was a little larger, it would be perfect.
This is my second review, for some reason the first wasn't posted. This product has two problems 1) the hood is too small. It doesn't fully cover your head and if you move your head at all it covers half of your head. 2) the sleeves are lined with nylon. it feels awful.
This is not your typical store bought hoodie. It's a heavyweight product of obvious quality and wonderfully comfortable.
This is a garment clearly designed to take a beating by someone who actually works for a living, yet it feels great to wear, too.
From the first time I tried it on it became one of my favorite items of clothing. I wear it as a layer while hiking in the cold winter weather here and also just to knock around in.
Some have pointed out that the sleeves aren't lined with fleece, but rather a smooth polyester material. If you're planning to wear the hoodie over a short sleeved t-shirt you'll probably want a different one with fleece lining in the sleeves as well, but this is perfect for sliding over long-sleeved shirts and sweaters, and I don't even mind it over short sleeves. Still, that's something to be aware of.
I also saw a complaint that the hoodie isn't really fitted. It's not -- it's constructed more as a product that is comfortable to perform work while wearing, and as such is cut rather generously. To me this was a positive.
Honestly, I've been buying from Bean for over 30 years, and I've never been more satisfied with anything I've purchased from them. I think the price makes it a great value for such a quality product, and I'm sure that I will buy another one of these down the road.
