My son, who wears short sleeves year round, was disappointed to find the sleeves were not lined with fleece. Not nearly as cosy as he was hoping. Color and fabric were great, but it's going back...
As comfortable as this sweatshirt looks in the pictures, the sleeves are not lined with fleece. Instead, it is some sort of nylon material that is very uncomfortable and feels downright cold when you put it on. It doesn't feel warm against your skin at all. It's a clear skimping on quality. Not to mention the cuffs frayed after 1 year of wearing it (really just one fall and winter!). I'm a student so I never used it in heavy-duty settings. I know there are many glowing reviews for this sweatshirt, but be aware of the sleeves and of the poor quality of the cuffs!
I am a 5'4" tall woman, and I must be built like Popeye because I have trouble finding women's outwear that will fit over my forearms. I normally wear a size 12 in womens clothing. I bought a size M and it fits me perfectly. the dark blue is a little darker than I expected, but hopefully it will fade with a few washings. I wish there were more feminine colors available, but I like the men's proportions in shoulder room and forearm room much better than any of the womens tops.
This is a nice sweatshirt to add to your wardrobe. The only thing I would like better is if it had the warm fleece in the sleeves. I have a different one that does have the fleece in the sleeves and it is warmer. This one has the quilted lining in the sleeves which allows you to slip it on and off easy, but I prefer the warmth instead.
