My wife and I both have one of these. I particularly like the durability. This past winter we were in a cold climate without central heating, if we were home we were wearing these jackets. Bean has produced a winner with this one. Its very comfortable, warm and I really like the fit, not too baggy.
have bought three of these hoodies. Warm, wash well. I wear them constantly and they are washed very frequently. All three have had the zipper tabs break off. The rest of the jacket looks great, but I have even resorted to a paper clip to pull down the zip! maybe #4 will be better...
This is the best sweatshirt I have ever owned. It serves as my jacket on most days and as lounge wear when I'm inside. At first I was a little thrown off by the price but knowing LL Beans quality, it was quickly over looked. I cant wait till the weather cools down a bit so I can enjoy it again and with Christmas around the corner, I hope I get a new one in a different color. Love it! Buy one, or two, or three!
I consider myself to be a "connoiseur" of hoodies, and am very very impressed with this product. I used to love my Lululemon hoodie, but have found that in regular use, it was too heavy and bulky, making it uncomfortable and didn't look forward to wearing it. Not to mention it cost $100! The LL Bean Katahdin Ironworks really sets a new standard for hoodies, in my opinion. It's warm, for sure, but not bulky and constricting. The faux-sheepskin lining is so comfortable and cozy, and the sleeves are lined with a silk-like material which makes it easy to get your arms in and out, a definite plus. The outer material is a nice cotton/poly blend. I don't think this item will shrink, although I just got it and yet to wash it. The pockets each have an inner, smaller velcro-closed pocket, which I guess could be handy for loose items. I found the fit to be exactly as described in the sizing chart, which is a nice change from many of the LLBean products I have ordered in the past and have found came larger than described. Well done LL Bean!
