I actually bought this one for my wife after I enjoyed mine so much. It is just more robust than the women's hooded sweatshirts. She loves the lined sleeves and the warmth when she is out side walking the dog or gardening. A small fits her a little loose but she loves it just the same.
My 12 year old wanted a hooded sweatshirt that was warmer than his regular one but without any writing or pictures on it. He doesn't wear winter coats to and from school - he needs nothing but a hoody! Besides, the winter coats don't fit in the lockers. The bigger the better and this one is warm, plain and just the right size - big.
Heavyweight is right. I was pleasantly surprised with not only the winter weight of this jacket but the comfort as well. Not stiff and rigid as most winter coats. And I really like the lining in the sleeves. It creates none of that nasty winter static when putting on or removing we are all familiar with. Five Stars.
