If you can catch this thing at the sale price then you found a pretty good deal. The full price of $74 is too much unless it lasts a really long time. This is yet to be seen since I just got mine but I have my doubts. It's warm and certainly a nice hoodie. It has stood up nicely to the March winds but for $74 I would expect something exceptional and I just don't get that out of this sweatshirt. I'm going with 4 stars more because it is Good, definitely better than average, but a long way from excellent.
I bought this for myself. I find some of the women's clothing on LLBean not long enough. I like my clothes to be longer than hip length. I also wanted this for layering. It's a little bit big, but that is what I wanted. It's very soft and warm, and I love everything about it.
I purchased this item many years ago and was disappointed when the cuffs frayed away. This was not uncommon as someone I knew had a similar problem. So I ordered a new one and checked the size of my old one as it was still a comfortable item. When the order arrived the size large was extremely tight fitting wearing only a sweatshirt underneath. So I got an extra large which was a more loose fitting item. I still think this is a good item in spite of the cuffs wearing away.
This is the second of this type sweatshirt I have ordered for my husband. He loves it's warmth, softness and feel. After several years of frequent winter wear and some fraying at the sleeve edges, it was time to order another for him. The 'tall" comfortably accommodates his 6'3" height.
