Tried the woman's version and it was too snug. The men's Katahdin Iron Works Sweatshirt is roomy but not too bulky. I ordered a medium and it fits great - sleeves just the right length. I really like the "silky" lining in the sleeves that allow for ease of getting on and off. A very happy (and warm) LL Bean customer.
This sweatshirt was much heavier than I thought it would be. Although a bit pricey, it does seem to be head and shoulders above the competition. I'll know better how it performs in a few years but I expect it is high-quality like 99% of the other items I have purchased from LL Bean.
I PURCHASED THIS JACKET FOR MY SON, HE WEARS IT TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY, HE LIKES THE WARMTH AND HOW THE POCKETS ARE DIVIDED. I HAVE A SIMILIAR JACKET THAT I BOUGHT FROM L L BEAN, AND MY SON USED MY JACKET TO GO TO THE MAILBOX, HE SAID MOM DO THEY MAKE THIS JACKET FOR MEN.
This is the second Katahdin sweatshirt I have bought for my teenage Grandson. The first one washed beautifully . kept its shape and color through many, many washings, unfortunately it did not keep up with my Grandson's growth. It is very warm which is great because he hates to wear a coat. Would reccomend these sweatshirts highly,
