I'm a 5'11" woman with very long arms. I have worn men's sweaters and sweatshirts for years in order to get the sleeve length I need. This sweatshirt fits me perfectly. The XL Regular is plenty long and the bottom is nice and wide. It's as close to my preferred 100% cotton as I can find these days. I also like that the sleeves are satin lined so it goes on easily over a shirt.
As everyone else has said the Kathadin line of sweatshirts really is in a class of its own. I ordered this sweatshirt in red, because I loved the gray kathadin ll bean hoody I've had so much. That said, I found that while a small in the pull-over style was very roomy, the small in the zip-down style was a lot tighter. This isn't a huge deal but for those out there who assume that sizes are consistent across styles, be aware that a small in the pull over style fits much differently that a small in the zip-down style.
I got this hoodie in chocolate. For some strange reason this chocolate fabric has white fleece on the back side. You can see it inside pockets. There're white blotches on the surface. Please bring back LLbean Signature hoodie from heavy duty terry cotton. That one was the best of all your hoodies I own.
There is a reason why this hoody has so many great reviews. This sweater is the most comfortable, warm and well-made I've ever owned. Whether out surveying in the woods or walking a river fishing, this hoody cannot be beat. Upon purchasing I found the price to be a little high but when I recieved it, I soon realised it was worth every penny!
