You know how you sometimes find a piece of clothing, and it's like an old friend right off the bat. Well, this is how I feel about this sweatshirt/hoodie.
I liked it in the catalog, and ordered it based on the styling. When I unpacked it, I put it on and fell in love with it. It's become warm here but I find excuses to wear it for a while in the still cool mornings!

I'm female, 5'6 and ordered a size men's small. My husband is still waiting for his backordered gray version, and based on my jacket is waiting with joyful anticipation.
My only request to LL Bean: please make a burgundy version????
This is the near-perfect cold-weather sweatshirt. The fleece is great, the sleeve lining is cold to the touch at first but is fine after wearing it for a few moments, The hidden Velcro pockets are handy, it doesn't shrink, it provides plenty of freedom of movement, and it is WARM. I don't even wear a jacket anymore in the bitter cold Maine winters. I wear this instead over just a T-shirt and it's perfectly fine for walking on campus and other moderate activities.
As for the few improvements, I would like to see an interior pocket added. The pockets it has a very good, but another one inside would be quite nice. I would also like to see a larger hood. The hood is a decent size, but could be bigger. A hood is easily adjusted to be smaller, but not larger!
If you have a normal-sized head and you don't really have any need for more pockets, then you definitely should buy this. It's terrific. It is easily better than any other sweatshirt I have ever owned.
I bought this for my husband, but I wear it bc it's warm and has a hood for extra warmth. I am buying another for me that fits a little better. Highly Recommend!
