An excellent, heavyweight, lined sweatshirt, not some paper-thin, downstream, cheapo garment trying to pass as a sweatshirt. I wish that the hood was deeper but, even so, buy one (or two) and you'll be satisfied. Launders perfectly, without puckering in front when dried on low. Time to buy another and stimulate the economy.
I bought this for my husband who is always cold but doesn't like sweaters. He LOVES it because it is comfortable and it even has a useful hidden pocket with a Velcro closure within each of the outside pockets. The sweatshirt is thick enough to be warm but is not bulky.
After a decade, an earlier Bean sweatshirt bit the dust, so I decided to buy the Iron Works. Wow! This is as warm as a jacket and as comfortable as a pillow. The secret pockets are perfect and I do believe I'll be wearing this baby for many years to come. I bought the Barley version and it's ultra-sharp looking. Hey, if it can make even me look good, you know it's a fine product.
