I cannot praise this item enough! It is warm enough to wear all winter in Maine, yet thin enough to do a large amount of labor outside. Shoveling my driveway in a large winter coat would leave me drenched in sweat by the end, but in this sweatshirt I could shovel for hours and be comfortable.
Or, should I say, NEVER disappointed in anything I've purchased from L.L. Bean. This is a beautifully designed jacket, with quality construction throughout; looks good on, provides warmth without bulk... first time I wore it (in Seattle, WA) I met its twin on the train - I think it looked just a bit better on me
I bought this to give as a gift and and not really able to give an opinion. It looks nice and comfortable. The fabric and color are very nice.The recepient will not have the gift until late April on his birthday.
This sweatshirt is substantial but not bulky; warm but not overheating; thick, but dries quickly. I am quite amazed how good it is. This is the type of garment that makes me come back to LL Bean over and over for my clothing.
