The quality of this garment is excellent. Unfortunately I had to return the "medium" because it was too tight. Then I had to return the "large" because it was too big. One criticism is that the back tends to "ride up". I like a sweatshirt to cover my rear-end. Even with these shortcomings for me, I think it's an excellent buy and well made. It's very, very soft!
I received this sweatshirt for Christmas, and I can happily say that I can find a daily excuse to wear it.
I'm an avid hiker and camper. Seasons don't matter to me - as long as there isn't threat of a tornado - I am outside.
I think I can safely say that this sweatshirt will be with me throughout the next few months - stowed away throughout the Summer - and then brought back for many more adventures in the Fall.
The Sherpa lining is great (and thankfully not bulky). Sweatshirts that are designed to keep you insulated, such as this one, usually are too bulky and restrict your movements - but not this one. This sweatshirt fits like a mid-layer would.
The choice to use polyester in the arms was great. It allows for the sleeves to be moved around with ease: and they won't "stick" to another sleeved shirt underneath.
Nice concept: line a sweatshirt with fleece. The trouble is that the body and hood are the only things lined. What happened to lining the sleeves? The "fleece" was not up to LLBean standards: not very good, neither fur like or sherpa like, more like old matted cotton sweatshirt material. Except that I could not find it in a Tall version, I found competitors versions for one fifth the price, and seemingly as well made. I had gift certificates for it, but even that did not convince me to keep it.
