In October of this year, I purchased a Katahdin Iron Works sweatshirt. It’s the greatest! It didn’t come in ladies’ sizes, but the men’s large fit me perfectly. I didn’t want pastel colors, as some had asked for, as I wanted a dark color that would not show soil. The “Black Spruce” color was perfect. The dark green matches my University colors, and also, I have enjoyed traveling in Newfoundland and Labrador where Black spruce trees abound.
I wore it for all my fall yard work—raking, mowing, and working with my chain saw. Later, I wore it for plowing snow and putting up Christmas lights. I wear it for walking my Alaskan Malamute, and I’m as warm as she is in her fur coat! I also wear it in the house while relaxing on chilly evenings. I love the fleecy lining, and I like the smooth lining in the sleeves which makes it easy to slip on and off. I found that a ball cap does fit under the hood, but I usually just wear the hood as is. It is very flexible--truly rugged for outdoor work, soft and snuggly for indoor wear, and attractive enough to wear to the mall (where the security pockets really come in handy).
I have seen many scenes in your catalogs of people enjoying your products and although the products have been of the finest quality, I have never quite matched the moods shown—until now. Every time I wear the Katahdin Iron Works sweatshirt, I feel the mood that you try to evoke in your catalog. With the Katahdin Iron Works sweatshirt, the dream is complete. Thank you!!
This coat is great! The sleeves are lined with a nylon type material, to avoid bunching sleeves up as you put it on. The rest of the coat is fleece lined. Very cozy & warm! For a man with long arms, I ordered a tall size, which fits perfectly! Highly recommended for the man who doesn't always like to don a heavy winter coat!
This is our fifth fleece lined hoodie and we are very pleased. We gave each of our three granddaughters one for Christmas. They are warm and comfy. My granddaughter calls it my comfy coat because it is so soft. We highly recommend it for warmth and comfort and it looks great on, too.

My 14 yr old who will NOT wear a coat even if it is 10 degrees out is thrilled with this hoodie (as he calls it). He is still in style and warm (er). My son in law also has this and loves it!
