The Iron Works Sweatshirt has far exceeded my expectations in comfort and durability, of particular note is the ease in using the zipper by comparison to similar designs of other brands. The advertised size was actually true to the garment size and fit very nicely over regular wear fall winter clothing (shirt/sweater combination. This was my first LL Bean purchase and will not be my last.
I can honestly say this is the most comfortable and warmest hooded sweatshirt I have ever owned. The quality is excellent. I just played a round of golf in late October when the temps were in the low 40's with wind gusts to 25mph and this shirt was great. All you have to do is layer it correctly. The only complaint was that it's hood could have fit a little better over a baseball cap. But still it is a great product.
Bought one of these sweatshirts last year to wear, and it was exactly what i was looking for. I don't wear a jacket all winter except for skiing so a heavy sweatshirt is essential and this one gets the job done. I will be ordering another one in a different color this year.
