This coat is great for cool weather. It's not meant for wet weather, however, so avoid wearing in the rain when possible. VERY warm, nicely fitted hood, roomy, deep pockets, and hidden pockets are great. Very nice workmanship as well, as to be expected from LL Bean! As one other reviewer said, I've gotten many compliments about it as well. Whoda thunk it? It's a sweatshirt.
The sweatshirt is very good quality and very warm. I have one small "complaint" the added fleece is wonderful and very nice on the body... however, it does not go all the way through the arms. It changes to some type of silky material and is always a small shock when I put it on because it is "chilly" until your body adjusts. All around, I will buy an extra... but the arm thing drives me nuts... Try it and you will understand... but I would suggest you buy one anyways..
Very warm and lining in sleeves permits easy on easy off wearing. Excellent alternative to fleece and a step up to the already excellent Athletic Sweat.
this sweatshirt is so warm i wore it all winter, the lining keeps you toasty warm. the only two thing i didn't like is that the lining in the hood and vest areas is not in the sleeves and I would prefer buttons, zippers or Velcro the length of the inside pocket, instead of the small pice of velcro to hold the pocket closed. also at least one pocket inside the vest or intergrated close to the zipper on the inside would be nice. but overall i like it and wore it everyday it was cold!
