I picked this up during a Christmas sale and am I glad I did. This fit perfect and was comfortable from the get go. I found that for most days this was all I needed for outerwear to get through a typical New England winter. I've since had to go back and get another as one of my kids keeps taking mine. Hopefully LL Bean will keep this in their catalog for years to come.
I brought this sweatshirt along to get me thru the cooler "winter" months of June-July-August in Cuenca, Ecuador. Certainly glad I did. It first and foremost is Warm. The pockets are deep and have a safety pocket inside each of the two front pockets although I rarely used it. It launders Very well without any "Pilling" whatsoever. This second one is for my wife for when we we return to Cuenca to live full time. (she is envious of mine)
I've had 3 of these over the last 4 years. I'm 6'9" and about 320 lb. with long arms. I love the fit! the XXL Tall sleeves go all the way to the base of my thumbs and it just fits everywhere, except I wouldn't mind a bigger/deeper hood for my head.
They've all been washed 100 times, worn crawling under cars, etc. and one of them has a bit of frayed cuff. They are tough stuff, and warm, and comfortable, and that's why I have several.
