I bought this for a friend and he had to exchange it for a tall. He now has the one without the hoodie and he loves it. It is very warm, comfortable and nice looking. Th fabric is much higher quality than the average sweat shirt.
This is warm with great pockets. A nice casual jacket to wear while walking the dog. One can find a cheaper jacket but it won't last as long. All the jackets I have bought from LL Bean have lasted for years,some for decades.
