Sweatshirt is great to wear all through the winter season. My husband wears it all winter, very comfortable and warm. All the males in our family have this sweatshirt.
The reviews on the girls' sweatshirts were mixed, but most complained about it being to fitted and the length being too short, and not having draw strings on the hood. So, instead of risking that, I just ordered this one. I love it! It is thick and warm and I'm in love with it! It is the right fit...loose and the length is perfect (I got the regular length), hits below my hips. The hood is thick, soft, and has draw strings. The hood is big enough to cover your entire head also, another complaint about the womens' sweatshirt. I bought the grey in the XLG (5'9", 200 lbs) and now that I know it is the perfect fit, I will order another 1 or 2 for fall/winter! I just got it so can't comment on the durability yet.
This sweatshirt is one of those LL Bean items that sets the standard for all others. Sturdy, long wearing, comfortable, warm, a "go to" item. My husband and I both wear them and love them.
This is one really nice hooded sweatshirt. I have used this type sweatshirt as a coat liner for years, and this one is very warm. The zipper has a sturdy heavy duty feel about it. Cannot think of anything wrong with it except that LL Bean discontinued my color.
