I ordered this sweatshirt as a birthday gift for my son. I was very impressed with the overall quality and so was pleased to offer as a gift. The lining is very plush and rich looking and the fit was perfect!! He loves it! It is heavy and will be perfect for winter. Thanks again for the free delivery!
I’m really pleased with this product which is comfortable to wear and very cosy. It’s a quality item and I greatly appreciate the solid (triple-needle-stitched) construction. I bought the hooded version in Navy and was also very pleased that the colour was nice and dark (in keeping with the photo in the LL Bean catalogue), which was exactly the colour I was after. As a size guide, I’m 6 foot, ~200lbs and found the Regular, Medium fit me comfortably (in common with other LL Bean products e.g. Carefree Unshrinkable Shirts etc.) In fact I’m so pleased that I’ve just ordered the same in Charcoal Heather.
I've purchased three: one for me, and then one each for my teenage sons.
The boys were reluctant at first to wear the item, as I believe they felt the garment was too stodgy (my term), or that it didn't have the coolest, hippest brand. I know, teenagers!
I tried to convince them, both Teddy and Harry, of the superlative comfort and warmth, and eventually, my proselytizing paid off, and each started wearing the sweatshirt.
I think the Katahdin is both functional and stylish, and I wore it often on cold nights in the house, here, and during a cool, wet spring.
I am currently considering getting one for my sister in Brooklyn, even though summer is coming; she liked mine, on a recent trip for my birthday.
This particular purchase was actually a replacement for the same product that was defective. I had bought the original about 2 years ago and the seams around the hood were coming apart. Even though the seams were defective, the product is actually a very good product. It is great for the winters here in Maine. I got quite a bit of wear out of it over the past 2 years. I only returned it for a replacement because I felt that the price I paid originally (about $60) should have gotten me a product that lasts more than a couple of years.
