I purchased two of these sweatshirts for my teenage sons who refused to wear coats in the Pennsylvania winter. The sweatshirts are great, nice and heavy weight, well made and warm. I like the pocket detail so things don't fall out of the pockets easily. This would be a great sweatshirt for someone who does a lot of outdoor work to wear under a big coat or, like my guys, wear instead of a winter coat if you don't get cold easily.
I have several of these sweatshirts, both with a little over 6 months of actual use each. Already, the signs of wear are starting to show at the wrists. Bear in mind, I'm not a lumberjack, but have a desk job. Also, at my time of purchase, I paid only about thirty bucks and that was reasonable. If that price were still in place, I'd buy more. Now, the price of this item has more than doubled. It's a bit warmer and more comfortable than what one finds in the department stores, but there is no way this item is a good deal at the current price of more than sixty bucks. It is no more durable than what they have but costs twice as much.
Great sweatshirt. Heavy enough to keep you warm, but easy to move around in without binding. Got one for my birthday and received another for Christmas!
I bought one as a gift and he liked it so much (wore it almost daily, in fact) that I bought a second in a different color. So far it wears and washes well. Typical LL Bean quality!
