I bought these last spring and recently returned them after wearing them less than a handful of times. I tried to like these as many people I know have them and love them. Comfort-wise they were o.k., but the rubber toe bumper left my toenails black and rubbed off my nail polish. Thus, I would only wear them with socks and that turned out to be hardly ever. Also, because the back strap is tight and can't be adjusted, it seemed to push my foot forward into the toe bumper when I walked, which I didn't like. I did go up a half-size so the fit wasn't the problem. They were in such good shape from little use over the past year that I decided to return them as llbean has a great return policy. I then purchased the llbean Explorer sandals instead and like them a whole lot better.
These are the most comfortable sandals, maybe even more comfortable than sneakers. I read other posts where some felt they ran small, however I felt they are true to size. I've brought these on a couple of vacations and walked for hours in them without any discomfort. Absolutely love them!
My husband bought these for me because we spend a lot of time with our two toddlers at the local water park. I needed something that would allow me to chase after my little ones and still be comfortable going from wade pools to shops. These felt great the whole day long while walking, playing in the pools and climbing in rides. They dry very quickly and provide a sneaker like support. If they came in more feminine colors like lavender or pink, I would definitely buy a second pair.
