I got this jacket as a gift for my Mother. I liked the cut and style, however I felt that for the price it did not have enough density and would not be warm enough. This jacket is not even lined. Unfortunately, I will be returning it.
My recent purchase (10/2009) of this coat was a happy one. The color was rich and lovely, and the interior contrasting color was muted but appropriately coordinated with the exterior. I was somewhat concerned about the size, but the coat was generously cut and I had no need to order up a size to accomodate a sweatshirt or shirt-jac underneath. The collar (which some reviewers complained about), laid down much better after the coat was washed. The coat is quite warm and the material is thicker than the average fleece. The quality of the material, the workmanship, and the warmth of the coat make it worth its price.
My main complaint is that the collar on the coat would not lay flat. I normally wear a Petite medium and this was too large. I liked the color and the weight. Unfortunately, I returned the coat.
I've owned a similar coat from LLBean, so when I lost 65 pounds, I wanted a new one. I love the construction, the fit, the coziness and warmth. It's very easy to take care of. A favorite!
