This jacket was disappointing. It was rather shapeless. I loved the idea of this jacket and it appeared to be well-made and of good material, but I looked dumpy in it. The blue color was fabulous. I am a size 12 and ordered a large which usually fits perfectly in LLBean sizing. I am slightly large framed, 5'5" tall. This jacket was too big on me in a wide way, although the length and the fit in the shoulders were good.
If you made this jacket in a fitted shape, I think you could sell a gazillion. I would love it if LLBean made more longer jackets and sweaters including light weight jackets and fleece.
The deepwater blue color in XL was backordered and I needed a coat now so ordered the sable, a pleasant dk. khaki. It falls at low hip, is thicker & warmer than your typical fleece jacket, and extra roomy for adding a sweater underneath. I also like the buttons (instead of a zipper) and nice-sized pockets, and it is comfortable to wear. Have worn it a few times & expect it will be useful in spring & fall.
