Overall this is nearly a perfect Down jacket, just the right weight and warmth without bulk. The only exception is that the jacket has no type of hood, which is essential in northern climates. With a hood, this jacket would be a 5-star!
I grew up in Maine, so I know that a down jacket is essential to surviving a harsh winter. I bought my first LL Bean down jacket almost seven years ago. It was one of the best purchases I have ever made. The jacket is warm and stylish, very reasonably priced and incredibly flattering. I'm not petite, but this jacket did not add a lot of extra bulk to my silhouette, keeping me looking trim and stylish-unlike other down jackets I have tried on. This is a wonderful product at a great price. I would certainly purchase another one. I grew up with LL Bean and like most Mainers, I'll stay true to this brand. This is the best coat for the price. I had my first one last winter, and I walked in 15-degree weather, it was warm and cozy, I bought another one this year. I would recommend it to everyone. thanks,
I love this jacket. It keeps me so warm when it is freezing outside, yet I don't get overly hot when it is more mild. It really does a great job of keeping you warm so you don't have to layer as much underneath. The fit is very flattering and I also love that it is not so bulky as most other down jackets are. Definitely worth every penny!
