This jacket fits me perfectly. For the amount of warmth it provides, you'd think it would be 10X as puffy as it is! And let me say, it's not that puffy at all and does not have a bulky/boxy look to it. You will not be cold with this jacket on! I like that the jacket is long enough to cover my back well so even when I'm moving, bending, stretching, the jacket does not ride up. Yet it is not a "long" jacket. I highly recommend this jacket. I bought one for myself and my mom just had to try it on. Now she's getting one for Christmas because she loved it so much.

I ordered this jacket maybe two years ago and although I do like it for some reasons I don't for others. The good: For the price, its pretty warm. Certainly can't complain about that. The drawstring waist is nice in windy conditions. Love the storm cuffs which aren't too common it seems with winter coats and jackets, although I don't know why. The slightly boxy body is good for layers where other more body fitted jackets aren't. The bad: No hood. Having one that was detachable at this price would be quite handy. I didn't like the outer cuffs. Could do without the velcro adjustment. Gloves slide in between the storm cuff and outer cuff better without the adjustment, but that's just my opinion. Boxy shape, while it is good for layering like I'd said before, does make you look a little on the puffy side. My biggest complaint is the color choices. I hate them! Why after all these years can't they offer something to adults that can still look feminine but not childlike? They have some good colors in the higher priced ones but not all. They just look like lollipop colors for the most part aside from the black and navy which look too masculine for my taste. What's wrong with a decent red rather than pink? Other than these things I would recommend the jacket for what it is for the price. And all of my issues are simply my opinions.
This jacket is clearly well-made, but the fit is really strange -- the torso is not fitted at all, in fact, it fits more like maternity wear than anything else -- super roomy around the tummy but then fitted around the hips. I would send it back but just found out we have #2 on the way, so I guess it will work. I've also been wearing it in 40 degree weather and it's keeping me warm but I have a hard time believing it would do the same at -30, it just doesn't feel that substantial.

Great for my walks. Also wore shopping. It breathes better than my other jackets I've worn over the years. Nice construction. It is light and very comfortable. It's my favorite winter jacket. I've worn many different styles (not LL Bean) over years of winter walking. Nothing compares to this one. I ordered the same one for my Mom and a men's for my husband.
