i have to admit that this is the warmest jacket i have ever owned. it feels good and never let's the cold in. i have actually had to take it off when inside the grocery store while shopping because i got too hot. i love it. pair it up with a scarf and you are done for these mid atlantic winters. i love mine and you will too.
I wanted a nice light weight winter jacket. I have a couple of bulky, double lined ski coats, and just needed something lighter weight. So down was what I focused on. For the price this is a good, jacket. Not great because of a few things. The sleeves are short. I am just 5'2" and purchased a medium and I wish there was about another inch on the sleeves. It does have internal fleece cuffs, which is nice. But I am finding my wrists get cold more than I would like. The rest of the jacket fits fine. Also, note that this jacket does have a trim fit. I can only wear a couple of light layers; so no sweaters. It also is not a long jacket, so if you want your butt covered 100%, get a different jacket. One thing that could have been thought out better is the location of the internal pocket. It is at the waist. I can understand why, so as not to have it up too high around the chest. But if I want to keep my cell phone in the internal pocket, I have to unzip the jacket almost all the way to get at it because there is not a double zipper on the jacket. Just a couple of things to think about.

I bought this jacket in the brown, and it has exceded my expections. The jacket is extremly light weight, still allows me complete free movement when hicking and out and about while still keeping me extremly warm. In addition this jacket has held up great and cleans easy! (No more worries about stains), it fit true to size and looks great on, I was also impressed with the durablilty of the zippers. I would definatly recommend this to any person looking for a reasonablly priced new jacket.
