ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I bought this jacket in dark fuchsia. I am 5"4" and weigh 115 lbs and the extra small fits perfectly. It is slightly fitted, so I don't look too boxy or puffy. If my arms were particularly long, the sleeves would be too short, but they work for me as is. I love the color, it is nice and warm, and I can even fit a sweater underneath without a problem. The price is so reasonable too!
I own two of these jackets -1 in navy (bought last year) and the other in brown (bought 3 months ago)
There is a little inside security pocket that is placed at an awkward angle with the zipper on the side of the pocket -it would be better if the opening was at the top of the pocket. If you put something in the pocket and forget to zip it you will most likely lose whatever was in there.
The jacket is extremely lightweight and it is very warm -but, I don't agree with LL Beans comfort range of 15F to -30F. I am 5' 3" and weigh 135lbs. Today's temp was 26F and I briskly walked from one end of the center of town to the other and back (about 1.5 miles round trip) and I was not freezing but, I was not what I would call nice and warm either. I had a long sleeve t-shirt and a long sleeve fleece jacket on underneath the jacket. I would give this jacket a 15F to 30F comfort range.
I think it would benefit female shoppers if LL Bean added a woman to their comfort range test team. Men and woman do not run at the same temp therefore the comfort ranges for woman's outerwear are fairly inacurate.
Other than those two things this is one of my favorite jackets.

My 2nd jacket (Lily Pond now, Periwinkle before) - fits well, lightweight, warm. Washes & dries well. Would like more pockets, esp. inside, and a 2-way zipper would be nice, but jacket is a good value. Could do without the inside wrist knit insert (hard to keep gloves on and they are too warm when moving about outdoors).

wanted a down jacket that wasn't so puffy for someone with limited mobility. this jacket fits the bill perfectly. the color is lovely and so far it is warm and durable... but we've only had it since Christmastime. at the moment, though, I am thinking of ordering one for myself.
