ProsGreat Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected, not a pitch black color
After days of confusion over which jacket I would order, I decided to go for this one. I'm very glad I did. I am a petite, pear-sized gal, and wear LL Bean size Medium. I was worried that this jacket would make me look like the Michelin Tire Man, but it does not. This jacket fits me great. It's easy to zip, and the lining around the neck is soft. I may need to spend a few extra seconds adjusting the lining inside the cuffs, but it's not a problem. I had a slight bit of feather leakage, but also no big deal. I also love that it has no hood. My big hair, and hoods do not get along. I wore it outside on a 29 degree day to shovel snow, and had to unzip it a bit. It is very warm. It's easy to drive in, not too tight across the shoulders. I got it on sale, and had LL Bean $10 cards, so I got a super deal!!
I've purchased 2 down jackets from LLBean this season, one in teal and the other in navy. This review refers to the navy jacket. Wearing the navy made me feel like a molting bird...everywhere I go, I leave a trail of down and feathers behind...not to mention they are all over my sweaters!!On one occasion, I went to remove a feather and a handful of down (literally) came out behind it!!!! If it wasn't for this embarrassing problem, I would otherwise love the navy jacket. It's light weight, has a relaxed fit and has a nice feel. Unfortunately, these good quailities can't make up for the tremendous feather and down leakage of this jacket. I just can't figure out how the navy jacket can be such a mess, yet the teal is perfect? Not one hint of a feather or down breaktghrough.

I bought this jacket for the sole purpose of walking my dog. I live in northern Vermont the winters are cold here!!! 1 degree during the day is common. this coat is sooooo warm. I don't get cold at all! I wear a fleece long sleeved shirt underneath it and when I come inside I'm too warm. However this coats fit is a little strange. I'm 5 5 and 129 lbs i ordered a large because i read that the sleeves were short. Its true the sleeves just barely fit. Now the large is technically to big for me besides the sleeves. But i didn't buy this coat for fashion. (though the color is lovely, purple) I bought it for warmth and it really is warm! I would recommend this coat! I will buy another one again. Also i have not had any feathers come out of the coat yet and i have one it like 20 times.
