This is my first goose down jacket. I love the periwinkle color. I have gotten many compliments on it. The coat is warm, not as warm as I thought but it is warm. It cleans easily. I would definitely recommend LLBean to others.
I wanted a lightweight, non bulky but warm jacket suitable for casual wear. I am a late 50 something lady, that likes to be warm when I am walking my dogs. In researching the jackets online, I thought this one would work for me. It arrived during a particular frigid and uncommon cold spell here in Clemmons, NC. From the minute I tried it on, it was a perfect fit. Warm, lightweight, & non bulky. I have not washed it yet so I can't comment on how it will do but otherwise it is everything it was advertised to be. I am very pleased with the jacket and my only complaint is it attracts dog hair. We have 3 herding dogs and there is always lots of dog hair floating around and the outer material of the jacket seems to act as a magnet. Otherwise, I will have to say this is a perfect jacket for the cold winter we are experiencing right now in NC.
