I was looking for a warm jacket for outdoor winter activities - nothing fashionable, but function was key. This is the jacket - extremely warm and well-constructed - great value for the price.
If you live up north and are looking for a good warm jacket, this is it! But I found it's a bit too warm for southern winters. Won't be returning it, though, because I have a family member who wants it. Fit is true to size and the color is bright and looks very nice. Another winner from LLBean!
I just bought this jacket with money received at the holidays. I wanted something that was warm, but not bulky. I tend to always be cold, no matter what I wear. This jacket is SO warm! Even if I only have on a lightweight shirt, I am very warm in it. It has been quite cold here in PA this January and I haven't been cold yet when I'm wearing this jacket.
I agree that the sleeves could be short on people with longer arms. My arms are average, so the sleeves fit me perfectly, and I LOVE the fleece liners that pop out of the sleeves. I haven't worn gloves yet b/c of the liners.
I would absolutely recommend this coat to anyone looking for a warm, every day coat , without the bulk. It is a great deal for this coat.
