ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I bought this jacket this fall and like it a lot--more than I thought I would. It is very light weight but has kept me warm to date (it's now the beginning of January). Once it starts snowing and getting icy and really cold, I will probably switch to a heavier and longer one, but this jacket has been really handy. It's easy to zip and the hood fits much better than other Bean jackets I've tried this season. It's a warm hood, too, with it's goose down. Initially, I did notice, as did other reviewers, that it is a bit boxy. But the comfort and warmth of it made up for the fact that perhaps it's not the most stylish jacket; I like it anyway, and I think it looks fine. Another drawback, which seems to be true of all the Bean jackets I've tried this season, is that they are making the jacket pockets smaller. I like the older and roomier jacket pockets much better.

Bought this in December; just in time for our holiday blizzard. Also wore it on the coast of Maine when the temp was about 17 degrees. Love the length. It's long enough that the wind doesn't blow up your back. Got it in petite and the size is spot on. More pockets inside would be nice. Not so crazy about the way the hood closes. It's cumbersome and you can't do it with gloves on. Small price to pay for a good jacket.

This coat is wonderfully warm! I am a petite and ordered a regular size and found it to fit well so maybe the sleeves are a bit short - however it works for me. Really glad I didn't order the petite. The only lacking feature for me was the inside pocket size and/or extra pockets, as it is only big enough for your cell phone and cash and ID. Word of warning, be sure to zip it shut or your stuff will surely fall out!
