I bought the Dark Fuchsia, which is more like a dark pink and not a fuchsia. The color isn't what I thought it would be but I'm keeping the coat anyway. I'm 5'3 and love the way LLBean's petite clothing fits, especially their coats. I'm a size 12-14 and the large fits perfectly, especially at the waist, with room for a sweater underneith. Love the length, and am currently wearing it. It's very light weight but warm. The hood DOES have an elastic cord that can be pulled to make it fit closer to the head and not let drafts in. I guess the other reviewer didn't see this feature when she reviewed this coat. Also I agree with another review that there could be more pockets. My old down coat from LLBean has a two additional pockets and the material is sturdier than this coat. This one seems like it might catch on things. Since I just received the coat, I can't say how durable it will be, I'll just have to see how it wears. Overall, I like the coat and would recommend it for running around.
I have ALWAYS had a problem in the winter keeping warm, especially on windy days. Got this coat about a week ago and I am so in love with it. It's been very windy here and the coat keeps me very warm. I will never again buy another coat unless it's from LL Bean.
I ordered this parka a couple of days ago and received it quickly. It's good looking, light weight, a very comfortable jacket ..... but, it was enormous on me. I am short, but by no means thin. I'm stocky. 42" chest, so I bought a petite large (which states bust size as 41 1/2" I definately need to go to a medium. I do like it enough though to order the smaller size. Hope this helps.
