I pondered a long time about which parka to get and finally plunged in with this one. I'm really pleased with the styling and details. It's very warm, has enough pockets (including a wallet-sized one inside) and lots of ways to customize it, including velcro sleeves, draw string at the waist and and hood. It's really cute too and plenty warm for Western Massachusetts winter.
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I live in Minnesota and needed a new winter coat and this parka fit the bill!! I've had it for a month now and it's been through one blizzard so far this year. I wore it to work and now my co-worker just ordered the same coat in black! It's very cozy and warm. I love this coat!
ProsGreat Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I bought the coat right before we started a string of 20 degrees days. I do not spend extended time outside. I walk from my home to my car a few steps and sometimes a few hundred yards to walk my son to school or back. For my humble “outdoor” needs, of 5 minutes here, 7 minutes there, this coat is great! I feel warm and cozy; it is so pleasant that I feel like wearing it inside as well. It is very soft, and much lighter (and cheaper) than my previous parka, yet warmer. The only reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars is that the pocket zippers don’t run completely smoothly and it’s little bit of a struggle sometimes.
ProsGreat Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected, really warm, great color
I wanted a new warm down coat that had a hood, fell below the waist, didn't have fake fur, and was cute. This coat meets all of these requirements. I got the coat in the Lily Pond color. The hood is really nice (they don't show it well in the pictures) and has a visor like a lot of other L.L. Bean hoods to keep your face dry in the rain/snow.
The coat is very warm. I received it just in time for an extremely cold spell in VA (two weeks when we rarely got above freezing), and this coat has kept me warm and toasty. I'm always cold, so this is saying a lot.
