I was pretty disappointed with this coat but I am too lazy to return it. I felt cold while wearing it when it was 40 degrees, and I'm usually the person in the room who is always warm compared to everyone else. I took the hood off but the collar is so short that my neck was cold. Even with the hood on, the front of my neck would be exposed to the wind. The description indicated that I would be able to cinch it in at the waist but even after tying it as much as I could there wasn't any cinching apparent to my eye. I think designers should be required to wear their products on cold days. Then the beneficial changes would be obvious. I'm disappointed with the quality of products coming out of LL Bean lately. The old standards like the pima turtlenecks are still great, but the new products leave much to be desired.

I looked at a lot of places, and finally decided on this coat. I am glad I did, because it is warm without feeling heavy, which is important when shoveling snow like I have been lately.
Loved the color, sleeves ran short for me and the lower half is huge. Even the lg barely fit in the sleeve and then was like a bell - there is no drawstring, so the cold air would just go right up. Really bummed as like to use LLBean and loved the color. Returning today :-(
