I took this parka out of the package and wondered if it would keep me warm at all! I worried needlessly!
Although this parka does not have the bulk of other parkas I have owned, it is comfortably warm. I wore it with a tee shirt and was happily surprised! I tested it out! It is nice and toasty, and even the wind wasn't a problem.
I chose this parka because I spend some work days out in the elements and I wanted something warm, but more on the utilitarian side. I am often on public transportation that isn't as clean as it should be.
The color selections could be better, and the pockets could be deeper. I chose Navy, and it's nice enough. I do love the hood and the inside cuffs. The Velcro at the wrists is a great touch. I am very pleased with this purchase.
I dress up this jacket with a scarf or shawl. a hat and gloves and I'm ready for anything nature wants to throw at me!

The jacket is a most gorgeous colour, the fit is perfect and because I am 4 feet 9 inches tall,the fit is pea-jacket length which means I am totally warm down to just 4 inches above the knee. I couldn't ask for a better garment to keep me toasty warm this winter....(except maybe a 'mink').
I shop at LL BEAN very frequently and many times don't bother to review products but I must say to all new and prospective customers that you haven't experienced excellence in shopping until you have purchased products from LL BEAN. The quality of customer service has no match in it's excellence which is matched by the quality of the products the company sells. The strong Canadian dollar doesn't hurt either!! This coat is so warm and cuddly! It is roomy enough to wear a thick sweater underneath, and the zipper hasn't gotten stuck in the fabric yet. The price is right too! Love it!
