ProsDurable, Comfortable, Performing as Expected, lighweight
This is a very comfortable and stylish down parka. My favorite thing about it is how light weight it is. Most down jackets are so heavy you can't lift them much less wear them. This one is light and keeps me warm and toasty. I would highly recommend this parka. In fact I will be ordering a couple more for my 2 girls. Thanks LL Bean for another high quality product.

I bought this jacket for last winter, and now I feel like I can finally review it...
Honestly, you HAVE to wear a sweater underneath the jacket for it to be warm enough in the winter (which is when you need a down jacket), but once you figure that out, you should be fine. With a sweater underneath, it makes walking a mile or two in the winter in southern New England very comfortable.
I wear petite size XS (I'm 5'2" and weigh 105 lbs.) , and I didn't find the jacket's arms to be too short, but it's quite likely that my own arms are quite short, too.
I've washed it several times by now, and it washes well.
Given that it's one of L.L. Bean's cheaper down jackets (especially for down jackets that cover your butt--which is a huge plus in the winter), it's a good deal for the price.
It probably could contain more down, and I wouldn't wear it to Anchorage, Alaska, in December, but it serves all of my winter jacket needs.
I do think that a nice wool pea-coat will always look more professional than a down jacket, but I like that these jackets can be washed and dried on your own. Even though I have to use a laundromat, I still save on cleaning costs (vs. having to take a wool coat to the dry cleaner)...
Cons: silly-looking velcro strap on back of hood; the fabric on the inside collar could be nicer

I bought this coat for My 16yr old and she loves it. Loves the fact that it is warm and light weight enough that she can carry it around when she isnt wearing it.
