I returned this item. I thought it unflattering and the fit was strange. Perhaps if I had ordered a Large it would have been different. I buy a lot from LL Bean and a size 12 fits. A medium usually fits in a T or sweater, but perhaps a bit snug across the chest. I did not like the double zipper as I found it difficult. I am 70 years old and planning a trip so I guess I will have to order a few more until I find my best fit. Nothing wrong with the coat. I guess I really want a jacket
I have yet to wear the coat under the conditions for which it was made yet, however, I can say that it fits true to size and is amazingly lightweight, and not as bulky as other heavy winter coats I have had. It has an adjustable band around waist to snug it up and give it more shape if desired. It feels quite toasty,but have yet to experience it in bitter winter yet. I like the fact it is washable also.
This is the best parka I have ever owned - I received it as a gift and have worn it ever since. It is warm, it keeps me dry - I love the hood which during the cold winter is an asset. and the adjustable velcro on the sleeves is great when wearing gloves to lock out all the cold - I highly recommend it !
I am pleased with this jacket in every way; comfort, style and overall fit. Also, it provides me with the warmth that I need during the cold winters. The hood is a plus! Do not hesitate to try this parka.
