I absolutely love this parka. I was somewhat cautious because the price was low and some of the reviews talked about feathers and shedding. This coat is very warm, extremely light weight and true to size. My other coats all feel too heavy after wearing this one. I am considering buying an additional in another color!

I purchased this in the dark fuchsia and a lady at the grocery store commented on how much she liked the color. After reading the reviews I ordered a 3X although I consistently wear a 2X, and I'm so glad I did. I work in a very cold office and need a coat roomy enough that I can wear my heavy wool sweaters. Even with a size bigger it is a snug fit especially at the arm seams. When I buy goose down the name of the game is warm, not fitted. Last year and this year, I really wanted the ultrawarm goose down, but for some unknown reason LL Bean no longer offers those coats in plus sizes. Some buyers also had problems with the hood. I have a short neck and small head and hoods just flop down over my face and are the first thing to go off the coat. However, this hood is the first one which has fitted me, and will stay on. But, I can see that it might be a problem for others with a long neck, large head, and perhaps more hair than I. I just count myself lucky that it works for me. I also wish the trim was the same color as the coat. As a petite person the sleeves are just right for me. But, all in all I really like this little parka and am glad I made the purchase. Please LL Bean--no more fitted goose down!
A bit disappointed in this coat, the first one I received I had to return due to the side seam coming apart. The sleeves are very short, and I am not a long-armed lady. I love the color, warmth, the length overall and the lightness of the coat, but the sleeves are just not right.

I bought this coat last winter. I love it. It fits me perfectly thanks to the input from other reviewers. I got size L, whereas I usually wear size M shirt from LL Bean. The sleeve length is perfect for me, but I can see how they might be too short for some others with slightly longer arms than me. I love, love, love the hood's pull strings. No tying, just pull the string behind the plastic piece and the hood tightens and stays in place. If you pull the string in FRONT of the plastic piece, it will not hold tight, so if you are having trouble, you are probably pulling the string on the wrong side. I have washed and dried this coat several times and it has held up beautifully. Thanks, LL BEAN!
