I needed a lightweight yet warm parka for travel, and this is it! It even doubles as a pillow on the airplane. The hood is especially nice, and vital (hard to keep track of a hat) while travelling. Good colors, true to size, and the price is great. Comparable coats from those "mountain-y" companies are much more expensive. The best thing about this parka is that it looks feminine and trim (as much as a puffy down parka can), without the "Michelin Man" effect. I'm even toying with getting the jacket version in another color, just for variety.
I got this coat for a trip abroad in Nov (cold!) and like it a lot. The lily pond green makes you stand out in a crowd of dark winter coats. It is plenty warm and also very lightweight...I was able to compress it into my carry-on luggage. Lots of nice LLBean quality features and the lining of the cuffs, collar and pockets is nice and soft. I would have picked a darker color for the lining if it had been available. Like all down coats it makes you look like Hulk but if you are not trying to be super stylish this is a great buy.
