This coat exceeded my expectations. I was worried the coat would be very bulky and it isn't. It's the perfect thickness and length. I really like the inner cuff feature for keeping out wind & snow.
So far this has proven to be a nice coat. We haven't hit the really cold weather yet, but thus far, it is warm in the cold and the fact that it is super light-weight makes it great!
I ordered this parka for cold fall days in Chicago and it's perfect. It's very warm on its own and still has room for plenty of layering. The hood is warm and fits very well - looks good too. And if the weather warms up a little after you've left the house, you don't get overheated - easy to adapt. I like a long coat for Chicago winters but if this was the only coat I had it could probably take me through the winter too. The pockets could be a little bigger to accomodate gloves better, but other than that it's perfect!
This item is terrific. It was purchased as a gift for my Mom. The sizing is accurate. It is very warm. As she is elderly, ease of zipping the jacket is important. This zipper is very easy to manage. The tabs on the front pockets also are very well designed. I highly recommend this jacket.
