I purchased this vest after purchasing the matching jacket. Wow, you can really feel the warmth of the down fill. No need for multi layers even on the coldest day. The styling of this vest is classy. Beautifully made, i have had many people ask me about it. Of course I refer them to LL BEAN!
I was afraid the vest would be too bulky. Beautiful and fits well. Light yet very warm. A very casual vest that is quite comfortable. Anyone who wants a casual light weight silky way to stay warm, this is the vest for you.
I bought two of these - one in navy medium, which is my usual size and is perfect. It fits snug and is sooo cozy and comfortable for those early chilly mornings in Alabama. I can leave it on all morning and not get overheated because my arms are covered with just a t-shirt. The secone one was the aqua which I had to get in a large size, since the medium was no longer available. I've heard these should be roomy so I didn't worry about it, but the large size lets in a draft, and feels less snug, so I don't like it as much. I've tried it over a fleece hoody and that feels perfect, but I look like a marshmallow. I will probably keep both, since I love the goose down. It is so light, but yet quite warm. I'm not aware of havin it on. On the fit: I am medium size but quite busty. I sometimes have trouble with jackets and vests fitting fine everywhere except at the bust. These vests are snug, but don't mash me or try to mke me flat chested. At the same time, they would fit a less chesty person just fine, i.e. they wouldn't stick out. I recommend them highly, but haven't tried washing them yet.
I purchased one of these to have something lightweight but warm for the mild winters we have here in tennessee. I like this vest so much I have been wearing it everywhere, even around the house. The blue periwinkle is a pretty light sky blue color. It is a little roomy, but keep in mind it is down, and if you wear it too snug the down can't loft and it won't keep you as warm. I am getting the goose down jacket next!
