Got this as a gift for a special someone. It is now keeping her toasty warm and really is quite nice. The "rip-stop" type shell seems durable and has a nice look to it. The down filling is full without being bulky. It does insulate very well and is lightweight. I would recommend it!
ProsGreat Value, Performing as Expected, red red red
In the early 70's, my mom and dad purchased this type vest from LL Bean for Christmas gifts to my husband, daughter, two sons and myself in red -- mine lasted 15 years, and of course, the kids grew out of theirs. Camping in the summer and winter in the Sierras was cozy with a vest and flannel shirt, hot cocoa and campfire :o) One request please, bring this vest back in red :o) Fit is great and so comfortable -- thanks much :o)
