I ordered this LL Bean down vest because I used to have one similar to it which I also purchased from LL Bean many years ago. I absolutely love my new purchase. It's perfect right now in the Fall with a sweatshirt underneath for my daily walks in the park. The color I ordered was Periwinkle and didn't realize when I purchased it that it matches my LL Bean raincoat so they look great together. I love buying from LL Bean because the fit is almost always perfect. And if there is ever a problem the customer service department is phenomenal.
I felt like I was wearing a floatation devise. It made me look fat and silly, like I had a life vest on. Well made but poor design for women, noone likes to look like they have a life vest on.

I am happy with the vest,it is very good quality, good price and very warm. The only part I would mention is that the bottom part is not stretchy so if you are more well endowed in the hip region the vest may be more fitted. Also depends on the length of your torso, I'm relatively petite, 5'3 and found it hit my hips in just the right place. Overall, I was very satisfied with the vest. I love how soft the interior is and the inside secret pocket is cool too!
