Excellent, well worth the money. Very warm and cozy. I've received a lot of compliments! It looks sharp on me. You can't beat the price and you'll get a lot of wear out of it for years.
My husband and I each bought this vest model in January 2010. About six weeks later (mid-February), I washed the vests using wool light and then dried them with hard rubber rings that are designed specifically for down articles in the dryer. I also washed my old down vest with the same load, purchased at LL bean probably 20-25 years ago. The down in the two new vests clumped up into hard balls, especially the man's vest. My old LL Bean vest came out plump and perfect as usual. We returned the vests and were disappointed that there wasn't another choice. I am especially disapointed becasue the vest was very good looking and we both loved the way our vests looked and felt on, but alas, the quality was not there. NOTE: I wash in my home washer or at a laundramat all of our down comforters and down outer clothing at least once and usually two -three times a year. I have never before experienced any problems with washing and drying down if proper guidelines are followed.
This vest is exactly what I wanted, and expected from LL Bean. The pretty blue color goes with all my casual clothes. The vest is slightly fitted, nice and warm without being bulky, and the fabric is of good quality. Very happy with my purchase.
