This goose down vest was just what I was looking for. It was warm, very comfirtable and fit perfectly. I liked the high collar and the zippered pockets.
Fit is nice and roomy but not unflattering. Not the warmest-wouldn't wear it the coldest of Midwestern winters unless I had a heavy wool sweater on underneath. Warm enough for above freezing with a lighter sweater or fleece.
I had always been skeptical of the whole vest concept until I got my husband an L.L. Bean vest for Christmas. He made me get one too because I started wearing his all the time! I love this vest and would heartily recommend it to anyone.
Warm without weight! I do needlework and like to have my arms "free" of sleeve weight and catching yarn or needles at wrists. It's not bulky under my jacket either giving me an extra layer of warmth while driving or walking during our really cold winter this year. Compresses into a tiny space for travel too. Don't be without one!
