I like this vest but was a little disappointed that the back wind flap was not longer. I also think that there could be more stylish detail. Overall, however, I like the way it looks and think that the color was a true likeness to the one in the catalog. (I got green) I hope, as I have just gotten it and not really had time to wear it, that it lives up to Beans usually high-quality standards.
I had to get this vest as a replacement for the Reversible Down Vest I had purchased two years ago. I LOVED the Reversible Down Vest I had to return it but because the feathers were poking through and leaving holes. Bean no longer makes the REVERSIBLE style, just this new style. I do not like the fit. It is too long, the feminine detailing hits in the wrong spots and I am very unhappy with it but I have kept it because I really need a down vest. I normally love all of my LL Bean clothes but not this one. This does not deter my shopping at LL Bean, it just makes me disappointed in this item.
Best down vest I've owned and a great deal at the price; slimming, very warm, comfortable. It has a great soft lightly lined high color that keeps out the wind.
