Dark turquoise was the color I chose, and it couldn't be more exquisite. The fuzzy material on the inside collar is cozy. At first, I ordered a large size but when I tried it on it was too big in the arms and chest. After calling the LLBean reorder department, the kind and courteous sales person advised me that the cut is purposely made to fit over a heavy sweater, so I settled on the size medium. Returning the original was easy and in a day or two, I had the new vest at my door step. The little hand pockets are just right, with the same cozy collar material inside. I look very fashionable!
I love this vest. It is warm, but not too warm. It is soft and fluffy but not really big and bulky. The details are wonderful. The zipper pockets are great for carrying lip balm or tissues. It has very soft trim. My favorite feature is the soft material around the neckline so your neck is always warm and against something soft.
I bought this in green for a last minute camping trip and thought it was excellent! It transitioned from 65 degree CA weather over a t-shirt to wearing it over an LL Bean fleece jacket while camping out/sleeping in 30 degree, frosty conditions. The inner pocket is a nice touch and the fit is pretty true - roomy enough to wear over a fleece but not too big looking to just wear over a light shirt.
