I am always cold so a vest is a wardrobe staple for me and let me tell you I have bought many vests from many company's and this one is my favorite. I bought the black, bright pink & bright blue & I love them all. Like the other reviewers have said this vest is great at blocking out the wind & cold chill. I do not care for the pastels but if they had some plaid I would purchase more to add to my collection.
I ordered the vest in black about a month ago and could not be happier with it! Very comfortable and cozy, it really blocks the wind and insulates, but is not bulky. It was very true to size, and the cut is very flattering, I would highly recommend it!
This vest, which I have owned and loved for three years, loses two stars for each year LL Bean has only offered it in a hideous array of pastels, magenta and turquoise. What happened to the basic red or royal blue or nice woodsland green of old? Not all women like or even look good in pastels (which just get dirty in any outdoor use) and our basic colour choice should not be limited to black.
I was a little concerned that the dark turquoise I ordered would be too bright but it's not. It is very pretty. This vest seems to be nice and roomy and very warm. I look forward to wearing it this fall and winter.
