You simply cannot find a better vest for this price. I have been wearing an older model for three years and it comes out of the wash looking new every time. It is warm, well-fitted and comfortable. I wear it so much that it's embarrassing.
So buttery soft, it is a pleasure to wear. Great for cold weather, but using it alot for spring weather too. This vest is most versatile, and is now one of my favorite items from LLBean. My teenagers each own one, too. My daughter especially likes that there is special soft material on the vest to keep it from abrading her chin.
Winter for us Northern Mainers this year was brutal with high winds and daunting snow accumulations making my early morning jaunts into town and to the gym a race! I've never owned a goose down vest and gave it a try! This heavenly warm lightweight NECESSITY made my mornings just a 'walk in the park'. A MUST for snow shoeing with the advantages of inside/outside pockets for cell phones and keys. I love this beautifully made vest!
