I bought this for my husband's birthday because the description online said "New!" — but then it turned out to be exactly the same sweater I bought him last Christmas. The problem is that the yarn and knitting is much looser on these sweaters than previous models (we've been buying wool full-zip sweaters from LLBean for several decades), and thus not as warm. My husband doesn't want the version that is lined with flannel, because that would be too bulky and warm. We're keeping both sweaters, but hope LLBean goes back to making a new that is like the old!
Bought this sweater about 1 year ago but the color I wanted was out of stock so I bought another color. I never wore it because after I received it was really not the right color. I recently saw it back in stock in the color I really wanted. I brought it on a 7 day canoe trip on the Allagash Waterway in Maine and wore it quite frequently due to overnight temps in the 30's and 40's. It was very warm and the quality was outstanding. The zipper is quite small and lightweight and could use a little upgrade otherwise this sweater is top notch.
I've been wanting a heavier full zip sweater for some time,saw this one and bought it. I wanted to be able to layer underneath it so I ordered the XL Tall. I normally get a L Tall, but the fact that it is wool swayed my decision to get the XL. I'm glad I ordered a size up...it fits great!
