This is the third Ragg Wool sweater my husband has had from LL Bean in the past decades. They are warm, toasty and last a long time.
When this one arrived, however, it was waay too small, like a medium instead of XL, even though the label said XL. Customer Service on the phone was very helpful & made the return process easy, I even decide to buy myself a blue sweater in the medium and I'm very happy with it, as is my husband with his new XL in off white. The green was a rather strange color.
I've always had a love hate relationship with wool-I find it itchy, but it's warmth is matched by no other material. I decided to give this sweater a try-I love it! It's warm and comfortable, it looks REALLY good on me and fits perfectly--I've received many complements. As far as the itch factor, I don't think you can find a softer wool. At first I thought it was a bit itch but I think it was all in my head. I just need to keep the cat off it when I'm not wearing it.

I bought this as a gift for a friend. I mailed it. She (yes, she!-- men's sweaters look great on women too) left the following message: I LOVED IT! I LOVE HOW IT FITS!! I LOVE THE COLLAR and the SLEEVES. I LOVE THE POCKETS. I'M NEVER TAKING THIS OFF.
A bit dramatic, but I guess this gift was a hit. I think I'll get one for myself.
This is an AWESOME sweater! I bought one last winter then tried to order more and they were out of stock by January. FYI beans-Winter does not end at Christmas! So this year I bought another one in a different color, procrastinated a bit too long and sure enough they were out of stock again! Beans does this with almost every item but this one is a yearly favorite so make more and they will sell!
